New to our Pure Powders range is Protein powder, a blend of maca, cocoa and hemp. An increase in protein intake is reputed to boost your immune system and increase metabolism, and hemp protein contains essential amino acids*. Our protein powder is an easy way to add a protein boost to your drinks, and offers a deep, malty taste that pairs especially well with our hot chocolates.

Delivering 32g protein per 100g, our Protein powder can be combined with our Organic hot chocolate to make a ‘super’ hot chocolate, or blended into a frappé for a breakfast boost (see recipes below). With no added sugar, no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, our protein powder is approved by both the Organic Food Federation and The Vegan Society.

Hazelnut ‘Super’ Hot Chocolate

  • 1 scoop Zuma Organic hot chocolate
  • 2 mini scoops Zuma Protein powder
  • 2 pumps Sweetbird sugar-free Hazelnut syrup
  • Skimmed milk
  • Zuma hot chocolate shaker
  1. Combine the hot chocolate and protein powder with syrup and a splash of hot water in a 12oz cup
  2. Mix to a smooth paste
  3. Add steamed milk, stirring as you pour
  4. Dust with chocolate shaker

Breakfast frappé

  • Ice
  • Oat milk
  • 1 scoop Sweetbird Yogurt frappé
  • 1 pump Sweetbird Banana purée
  • 1 mini scoop Zuma protein powder
  1. Fill cup with ice, level to the top of the cup
  2. Pour milk over ice (to 1cm below the top)
  3. Pour contents of cup into blender jug
  4. Add puree, frappe powder and protein powder
  5. Put the lid on tightly then blend until smooth
